The Winery:
The story of Tenute Girolamo is the story of Michele Girolamo, a man who in 2001, leaving behind the frenzy of Milan, decides to return to his hometown, driven by his love for great wines. With him, he brings his family and young Piero, his seventeen-year-old son, who is introduced to the fascinating world of viticulture.

In 2006, after years of work, study, and investment, Tenute Girolamo took shape, promising a bright future.
In the years that followed, Piero grew and trained in the world of wine, collaborating with prestigious oenologists, thus expanding his knowledge and refining his passion. In 2010, Michele made a fundamental gesture: he returned to Milan, leaving the responsibility of the company in Piero’s hands.

Today, Tenute Girolamo extends over 40 hectares of vineyards planted between 2004 and 2005 in the splendid Valle D’Itria. The company had the ambition to raise the qualitative profile of Apulian wines, embracing a philosophy based on quality rather than quantity. A pioneering approach for the time, which saw the inclusion not only of traditional Apulian vines such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Aglianico and Verdeca, but also international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Merlot. This fusion represents the company’s desire to produce exclusive wines and give prestige to its territory.
