The Sake:

It is a slightly dry sake with a soft, sweet aroma derived from rice. It has a mellow taste and a strong rice flavor. It goes down smoothly and is refreshing. Afterwards, you can feel a slight aftertaste of rice.
The Translation of the Name: 舩坂 Funasaka is a family name, and does not directly translate. Literally is means, “Boat hill,” but could be interpreted as “Embankment.”

As you would expect from a honjozo sake, it can be enjoyed with a wide range of meals, but it is especially recommended as it goes well with meat.
