About This Product :

The Grapes:
100% Vermentino
Vermentino is native to the Italian island of Sardinia and often produces a light bodied wine that is very aromatic and refreshing. The Sardinian Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) appellation, Vermentino di Gallura, is known to produce some of the best known Vermentino. Though still a relatively unknown variety, it is grown around the world and gaining popularity

The Appellation:
Mendocino, California
68% of this Vermentino comes from the Ruddick Ranch, which is grown on a bench overlooking the Russian River in the Talmage district of the Ukiah Valley. 32% of this wine comes from our Nube Bianco Vineyard. This vineyard is located on the eastern side of Potter Valley on a slight bench above the Russian River, about a quarter of the way into the valley.

This eastern fork, along with its western fork that runs through Redwood Valley, represents the headwaters of the legendary Russian River. Here the river is at its best and purest form. Altitudes in these two valleys run between 1200ft to 800 ft. elevation. We planted this vineyard with mostly white grape varieties: Arneis, Moscato Bianco, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Tocai Friulano, Coda di Volpe, Falanghina, Fiano and Greco di Tufo, Moscato Gialla, Ribolla Gialla and Vermentino.

The Winemaker:
E-Corp has worked with Greg Graziano for nearly 2 decades, and Greg is a winemaker you never forget. From his endless supply of Hawaiian shirts to his contagious passion for wine, excessive neutral-oak ageing, and doing things the right way even if its the hard way, Greg has always been a favorite of ours. When we want to show someone a well-made wine, we show any wine that says “Graziano” on it.

The Graziano Family has a long line of winemakers and grape growers dating back to the early 1900’s.  Like his family before him, Greg Graziano, now carries on the family winemaking tradition that his grandfather set the foundation for and that his father Joseph later handed down to Gregory. To this day he is still carrying on the family tradition…as is his oldest daughter, Alexandra Graziano, a UC Davis graduate of Viticulture and Enology. She is currently involved in all aspects of winemaking and is the 4th generation, from Piedmonte of Italy to Mendocino County.
