About This Product :

The Sake:
This Junmai Daiginjo, one of the most sought after in Japan, has a complex and elusive flavor, and flawlessly balanced umami, sweetness, and tartness. Pleasantly floral, Kubota Manju’s refined aroma is in perfect harmony with its clean, silky and smooth texture. Notes of dried strawberry and nuts. A truly sublime tanrei-karakuchi (dry & crisp) sake.

Translation of the name:
久保田  Kubota= Kubota is a family name, and there is no direct translation.  If you breakdown the characters literally it could be translated, perhaps, as, “A sunken rice paddy.”
萬寿 Manju, meanwhile, can be translated as, “10,000 Possibilities.” It belongs to a line of Kubota products: Manju (10,000), Senju (1,000), and Hekiju (100).

Not only do they focus on obtaining high quality sake rice, they dedicate time and effort in their labs to increase said rice’s quality. Their efforts do not stop there however – in order to help preserve the environment, they implement the ISO14000 system of environmental sustainability, and also participate in various activities to preserve their natural surroundings. Additionally, they hold tea ceremonies, concerts, and cultural events for the local community. The goal is to make a fun, sustainable, and ultimately enjoyable environment with sake.
