Tasting Note:
Subtle straw yellow with green highlights. The nose is full of citrus and tropical fruits like orange and mango. Great acidity all around. On the palate the fruits come through fresh and vibrant, with a semi-sweet lingering and well-balanced finish.
Vinification:
Vines are 18-25 years old. Grapes are kept cold throughout picking and fermentation for optimal fruit. All stainless steel, no barrel ageing.
Pairing:
As aperitif, with canapes and chips, fruit, ceviche, salads, broths, and fish.
The Winery:
Founded by Luis Angelo Cetto, history says that Cetto started the wine business in 1928, bought a number of small wineries in the 1980s, and now he is responsible for more than half of the country’s wine. Cetto cultivates 2,700 acres of vineyards in Baja California; also tequila and olive oil.
L. A. Cetto is one of the most renowned and oldest wineries in Mexico. In addition to the vineyards, L. A. Cetto offers gardens, a picnic area, wine tasting room, tours as well as a tasting boutique in Ensenada. Today, with over 90 years of tradition and quality, L.A.
