Coro Mendocino is a collaborative effort started by eight Mendocino winemakers in 2001 to create a class of distinctive wines that showcase the rich heritage and unique characteristics of Mendocino County. This is the first time in U.S. history that vintners have set blending and aging parameters for wines distinctive to a region (i.e. like the appellation controllee wines of Europe).

  • Though only 250 acres of this rare grape remain, Piquepoul Noir has been grown in Southern France for centuries.  It is originally from the Languedoc and is one of the 13 grapes permitted in Châteauneuf du Pape. Ours is produced from one grower’s 5 acre hillside vineyard in Cazouls.

  • 100% Riesling from Finger Lakes, New York.  Ripe and tropical, harmonizing fresh lime juice, fresh citrus and petrol stoniness from the Keuka vineyards with cantaloupe and apricot from the Seneca vineyards. Behind the zingy freshness is a rich body and a discreet creaminess which forms energy, brightness, and persistence.
  • 100% Riesling from Finger Lakes, New York, prepared in Methode Champenoise.  This delicious, fruity Cremant-style sparkling wine is a very inviting, easy-to-drink sparkling wine. Apple, honey and spicy aromas on a solid acidic backbone gives this wine a great balance and fruit forwardness.

  • Brewed in Hyde Park NY, using “The King of Rice,” 100% Yamadanishiki shipped from Japan, Dassai Blue 50 is milled down to 50% (Funny that), qualifying it as a Junmai Daiginjo. Licorice and cantaloupe give way to pineapple candy, lemon curd and vanilla with a hint of brine on the finish.
